Everyone likes cake right! My family definitely have a sweet tooth and adore having a themed cake for their birthdays. In our house there is only ever one choice of cake maker. Nicola has been a trained cake maker for 15 years. After visiting wedding fairs in search of the perfect cake for her own wedding, Nicola realised just how much she would love to craft beautiful designs for others to enjoy and so enrolled at college to start her journey on the road to become a successful cake maker.
After working alongside another Hull baker for several years, Nicola eventually decided 5 years ago that now was the time to branch out on her own and so Cake Topper Creator was born.
Now she spends her time creating the most scrumptious cakes and crafting gorgeous designs for her clients. Specializing in children's birthday cakes she also creates stunning cakes for adults, in fact she crafted my surprise 40th birthday cake in the theme of Harry Potter! ! Seeing all the gorgeous cakes and cupcakes she makes definitely makes my mouth water. From Disney to Roblox and Peppa Pig to unicorn cakes her children’s themed birthday cakes are fantastic and she is amazingly skilled at crafting the characters. With older children choosing Tik Tok and Marvel, football and dance cakes or even drip or doughnut cakes Nicola is kept busy and is able to let her creativity take centre stage.
Although her adult cakes are often more elegant and feature macaroons, flowers and meringue kisses, she also creates fun novelty cakes for adults too, crafting the birthday boy or girl’s favourite cars, hobbies and television shows. She has even created a 100th birthday cake!
Naked cakes are very popular at the moment and Nicola’s page has me wondering if there is anything that she can’t turn her hand to! Her fruit laden naked cakes, decorated with flowers and meringue kisses are divine and the perfect choice for anyone wanting an elegantly luxurious cake for a celebration. As an insured and hygiene certified baker, Nicola works with her clients so no-one misses out on her sweet treats. She is skilled at creating cakes for allergy sufferers and can produce amazing cakes which are glutton, dairy and lactose free. I can't praise Nicola enough, she works with me to make the perfect cakes for my cake smash sessions. She can make cakes which suit any theme and colour choice and they always look amazing in my photographs. My clients always say how delicious they are when they take what's left home to have with a cuppa after their baby has enjoyed their session.
Now to think about which cake to book next, with 4 children in our house, it surely won't be long until the next birthday and I can have a bite too!
